Type designer Bruno Maag will be giving a talk on Monday, 6th of November 7pm, LSAD Gallery Clare Street, Limerick. His talk is part of a three-day visit here at LSAD, where he will be hosting workshops with the Graphic Design Communication course. Bruno Maag is a Swiss type designer and founder of type design company Dalton Maag, an independent type design studio. Dalton Maag is an international team of 40 type designers, font developers, creative directors, software engineers and support staff, spanning 20 nationalities and speaking 12 languages. Their portfolio of finely-crafted typefaces has brought distinction to logotypes, character to body copy and clarity to communications in over 100 languages for over 25 years. You might have come across their work for Rio 2016, Google, Amazon, Intel and Nokia or seen them featured in industry publications including Design Week, Creative Bloq, It's Nice That, 99U, Creative Review, Design Milk, Gràffica, Wired, DesignBoom and Fast Co Design. He is renowned in the typographic community for his strong dislike of the typeface Helvetica.
